Dessert Burgers are a big-time hit all over USA, Australia and most parts of Europe, yet this new foodie trend that mixes all sorts of sweets and candy into the form of the classic burger, is still on the low here in Malta.

We need sugar-coated buns stuffed with caramel, ice cream, marshmallows, chocolate, syrup, all kinds of biscuits, popping candy, Nutella, M&Ms, sprinkles and strawberries.

How about a waffle burger, filled with ice cream, Nutella, Mars bars, cookies and topped with salted caramel sauce?

Or a golden croissant burger, filled with cinnamon dusted maple bacon, fresh strawberries and a sweet vanilla bean mascarpone cream cheese, sprinkled with icing sugar and crushed nuts?

A lemon curd themed burger with fresh raspberries, vanilla bean and mascarpone cream would be a hit too.
